List of Tverečius Area Inhabitants Who Departed to America 1900-1930 (from Tverečius RC Parish Book)
The 2001 book "Tverečiaus Kraštas" includes a chapter ("Tverečėnų Emigracija Į Ameriką 1900-1930 m.") about Lithuanians who left the Tverečius RC parish to emigrate to America, including a list of 174 names. This chapter was written by Dovydas Pivoriūnas. [I think that he must have been from Chicago, because almost all of the people on the list had settled in Chicago.] (The name of my grandmother Stanislava Čepulytė was omitted from the list of names, although her "cousin" [second cousin?] Elena Čepulytė with whom she came to America was on the list).
The family names on the list are: Baužys, Bernotas, Bielinis, Čelna, Čepulis, Čioglys [Čaglys], Drozdas, Filipavičius, Genys, Gylys, Grigeliūnas, Gruzdys, Jankūnas, Kėkštas, Klonys [Klonis], Kondrotas, Krasauskas, Kudaba, Laurutėnas, Lazinka, Lukšėnas, Martinėnas, Mikulėnas, Misiūnas, Motiejūnas, Muškietas, Papšys, Pivoriūnas, Ramelis, Saplys, Sekonas, Seliukas, Skrebutėnas, Snarskis, Spėčius, Stasiūnas, Šimonėlis, Telyčėnas, Turla, Umbražiūnas, Untanėnas, Večeras.
I have translated the list and put the document on Google Docs.
